Williamsville Jr. Freshman Air Force remain unbeaten The Williamsville Jr. Freshman Air Force team moved to 6-0 with a 24-7 victory on Saturday over the Grand Island Vikings. Quarterback Ryan Foster led the scoring with a 50-yard pass to running back Nick Maranto and a 60-yard pass to running back Ryan Conschafter. Foster also added 5- and 30-yard TD runs behind an offensive line led by Michael Woods, Rodrigo Ortiz, Jacob Funderburke, Andy Achenbach and Shawn Hines. Defensively, Brandon Tuskes, Jack Schwimmer, Trevor Conschafter, Jack Schick, Keith Sweat Jr. and Ryan Froemming helped shut down the Viking offense. Air Force 32, Niagara-Wheatfield 7 Quarterback Ryan Foster threw a 60-yard touchdown pass on the first offensive play to running back Nick Maranto to key the Williamsville Jr. Freshman Air Force football team to a 32-7 victory over the Niagara-Wheatfield Bobcats on Oct. 7. Continuing the scoring was running back Ryan Conschafter with a 50-yard scoring pass from Foster and a 93-yard touchdown run. Foster and Maranto added 30- and 50-yard touchdown runs, respectively, to close out the scoring. Defensively, Rodrigo Ortiz, Jacob Funderburke, Michael Woods, Luke Thompson, Andy Achenbach and Shawn Hines helped contain the Bobcats. Army 7, Tonawanda 0 The Williamsville Jr. Army defense dominated again in its 7-0 win on Saturday over the Tonawanda Bills. The Army defense took the ball away three times and gave up very few yards for their fourth shutout of the season. Conner Kelly ran 35 yards for the only score of the game early in the second quarter. With one game to go, the Army is now 4-2. |
