SS. Peter and Paul posts division win

SS. Peter and Paul's swim team defeated St. Mary's of Lancaster, 147-98 on Sunday, Oct. 14 at Sweet Home High School.

The 11 and up division was led by Rachel Kuechle with two first place wins.

Adding points with second and third places were Maury Fields, Kathleen Ruggiero, Rachel Nasca, Ally Costanza and Samantha Basile. The relay team of Kuechle, Fields, Ruggiero and Basile took first in the free relay and second in the medley relay.

The 9-10 division dominated their division by capturing first and second places in every event.

First and second place finishers were Marissa Olsen, Lauren Shine, Jason Brick , Matt Ruggiero, Peter Weimer, Katie Colson, Alexandra Sommer, Kurt Haumesser, Evan Manna, Susan Venditti and Valerie Mueller. Olsen, Weimer, Ruggiero and Brick took first in the medley relay. The team of Shine, Colson, Sommer and Brick took first in the free relay with Manna, Venditti, Haumesser and Weimer taking second.

The 8 and under team came out strong to win their age group. Taking two first place finishes each were Mark Venditti and Charles Weimer.

Second place winners were Jessica Shine, Brynn Cowe and Claire Noe. Jacob Barberio and Riley Noe added points with third place wins. The medley relay of Venditti, Weimer, Noe, and Barberio took first. The free relay of Barberio, Noe, Cowe and Braniecki took second and the team of Shine, Lewis, Noe and Maron Lelonek took third.
