Registration deadline for ASA indoor league approaching

The Oct. 22 registration deadline for the Amherst Soccer Association indoor soccer league is rapidly approaching.

Leagues are available for children in age groups U8 to 14. Some of the older age groups may be coed.

Games are played on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. All games are one hour and are played five-on-five, including goalkeepers.

The game is quick and encourages ball control. Substitutions are made on the fly (one player steps off, another player steps on). There are no practices, only games. Each session (one or two) is eight weeks.

You may enroll in either or both sessions but if you want to play starting in late January in Session II, you should register as soon as possible as spots are limited. The cost is $35 per session.

If you do not have the new uniform that was distributed with the Fall '07 house league, you will need to purchase the uniform, which is set at $35. Uniforms will be distributed at the first game. You can register online at www.amherstsoccer.com/Registration.
