Evan G. Antoulinakis, 34, of Williamsville, died on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 at Buffalo General Hospital.
Born in Buffalo, he received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Science degree from the University of Rochester and a doctoral degree from the University at Buffalo. He was given the top senior thesis award at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Mr. Antoulinakis was a chemist at Invitrogen Corp in Eugene, Ore. and Grand Island from 2004 to 2007, and previously at TCI America, Portland, Or. from 2002 to 2004.
He had contributed to numerous publications, and held various patents and fellowships.
He was an altar boy and liturgical reader at Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Buffalo, an Eagle Scout with Kenmore Troop 539, and a member of the American Chemical Society.
He is survived by his wife of seven years, Diane M. Witczak; one son, Alexander G.; one daughter, Catherine S.; and his father, George A.
Services were held Saturday, Oct. 13 at Amigone Funeral Home and the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Annunciation. Arrangements were made by Amigone Funeral Home.
