Leaf collection to begin Nov. 5

Town of Amherst Highway Department crews will begin its fall leaf collection on Monday, Nov. 5.

Leaves are to be placed on the Town's right-of-way within five feet of the curb and are not to be placed in the street.

The Town will only collect leaves. Any other yard waste, such as branches and shrub trimmings, will continue to be collected weekly when properly prepared. Yard waste will not be collected in plastic bags.
