Mass and celebration mark 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sweeney

Jean and Thomas Sweeney of Williamsville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a special Mass, followed by a celebration for family and friends at their home. Guests from Atlanta and Indiana are expected to attend.

Thomas Sweeney married the former Jean M. Wilson on Oct. 22, 1947 at St. Mary's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse.

Thomas is retired from Columbus McKinnon, where he was corporate vice president of manufacturing. Jean is a homemaker.

Thomas is a committee volunteer for the Amherst town government and is an adviser on the board of directors for the Morningside Homeowners Society. The couple are also avid animal lovers. They have five children, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
