Robert L. Grin, owner of The Shebeen Robert L. Grin, 67, of Amherst, died on Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst. Born in Chicago, Ill., Mr. Grin attended Purdue University. He owned and operated The Shebeen restaurant in Cheektowaga and worked at Niagara LaSalle in Chicago and Lackawanna, where he was a general manager. He worked for several companies in the steel industry for over 40 years. Mr. Grin enjoyed golf and football and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. His wife, Darlene, died in 2000. He is survived by one son, Christopher R.; one daughter, Sherri L.; his mother, Margaret Grin of Chicago; three brothers, Larry Grin, of Ohio; Bill Grin, of Arizona; and David Grin, of Neva- da; and one sister, Mary Charleston-Grin, of Indianapolis, Ind. Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at The Shebeen, 2641 Broadway, Cheektowaga. |
