Frank J. Clark, 85, of Williamsville, died on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst.
Born in St. Albans, Queens, N.Y., Mr. Clark received a bachelor's degree in education from New York University and a master's degree in computer science from Columbia University.
He served in the South Pacific and the Philippines from 1942 to 1945 during World War II and was awarded seven battle stars.
He was a retired AT&T consultant. In the past, he taught music and math and authored 14 math and computer books. He was a former computer science teacher at Genesee Community College and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
He played the trumpet for various groups, including the Boston Pops, and was director of the Cheektowaga Senior Chorus. He enjoyed big band and classical music, history and computers. He was a member of Evangel Assembly of God in Williamsville and the music ministry of Tree of Life Assembly of God in Depew.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sara A.; two sons, John and Donald; and one grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, Robert.
Services were held Monday, Oct. 8 at Amigone Funeral Home, Amherst.
