Summit Educational Resources will sponsor a one-day conference, "Promoting Functional Communication in Children with Autism: Addressing the Verbal Challenge," from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center, 2402 N.
