Couple renew vows after 60 years

Noreen and Robert Aiple of Williamsville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at Zion United Church of Christ in Tonawanda. The flowers on the altar were arranged in gold vases given to the couple as an original wedding gift.

A dinner for family and friends at the Polish Falcons in Depew followed the ceremony.

Robert Aiple married the former Noreen Fouchie on Sept. 27, 1947 at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

Robert is retired from the Buffalo Fire Department. Noreen is a homemaker. Noreen also enjoys bowling and gardening.

The couple have three daughters and three grandchildren.
