Pair at home in Texas after West Seneca nuptials

Elizabeth "Bethy" Allison Merhige married Thomas R. Barrett in an outdoor, late afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007 at Gregor's Garden Grove in West Seneca. The Rev. David Zastrow officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia Merhige of Amherst. The groom is the son of Peggy Jo and John Barrett of Amherst.

The bride was escorted by her grandfather, Dr. William Muchmore.

She wore a beaded and embroidered satin, halter-style gown and carried a bouquet of calla lilies and dendrobium orchids.

The matron of honor was Patricia Merhige, mother of the bride. The bridesmaids were Casey and Abbey Merhige, sisters of the bride; Mary Vanderzeil, sister in-law of the bride; and Kelly Ryan and Sammie Perez, friends of the bride.

The flower girls were Caitlyn Wallace and Robin Mastowski, friends of the bride.

The best man was Carl Erickson, cousin of the groom. The ushers were Bill and Jack Barrett, brothers of the groom; Adam Merhige, brother of the bride; and Vinnie Majchrzak and Jeff Szatkowski, friends of the groom.

The ring bearer was Zachary Barrett, nephew and godson of the groom.

A reception was held at Gregor's Garden Grove. The couple are at home in San Antonio, Texas.
