Couple receive guests at Brierwood Country Club

Sara K. Szatkowski married Jason E. Cook in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 at St. Gabriel's Church in Elma. The Rev. Daniel Palys officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mary and Robert Szatkowski of Lancaster. The groom is the son of Cathy Sorrells of St. Louis and Monty Cook of Plainfield, Ind.

The bride wore a Vera Wang strapless, silk, princess-cut gown with a Swarovski crystal and pearl design. The cathedral-length train was accented with an English tulle veil that extended beyond the train. Her tiara was an original design with Swarovski crystals and pearls. She carried a bouquet of anthuriums, lilies and hydrangea.

The maid of honor was Rachel Zernentsch, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Amanda Szatkowski, cousin of the bride; Sunny Collins, sister of the groom; and Leah Ha, Wendy Cylnik and Maryann Griffin, friends of the bride.

The best man was Bobby Dostin. The groomsmen were John Szatkowski, brother of the bride, and Ashley Green, Brian Watkins, Christopher Jenkins and Ian Wilson, friends of the groom. The ushers were Mark Peironi and Thomas Shriver, friends of the groom.

A reception was held at Brierwood Country Club. The couple are at home in Hamburg after honeymooning in Jamaica.
