Scott Payne and Cassie Vanecek

Cindy and Bill Vanecek of Lancaster announce the engagement of their daughter, Cassie Vanecek, to Scott Payne, son of Doreen and Jeffrey Payne of Lancaster.

Miss Vanecek graduated from Lancaster High School in 2001. She received a bachelor's degree in elementary and special education in 2005 and a master's degree in literacy in 2006, both from Niagara University. She is a special education teacher at Hillview Elementary School in Lancaster.

Her fiance graduated from Lancaster High School in 2001. He earned a degree in accounting and accounting information systems from Canisius College in 2005. A certified public accountant, he is a senior accountant at Dopkins & Company LLP.

A May 2008 wedding is planned.
