Hospice to host bereavement support groups
The Circle of Hope program of Niagara Hospice hosts bereavement support groups that are open to the community. These support groups are designed to help those who have experienced the death of a loved one and will cover such topics as discussing the grief process, normalizing grief reactions, surviving and thriving, and living with the loss. The schedule is as follows: Adults Living with Grief - From 5 to 6 p.m. the second Monday of each month at Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport. Adults Living with Grief - From 5 to 6 p.m. the last Monday of each month at The Hospice and Palliative Care Group, 2186 Liberty Drive, Niagara Falls. If the date should fall on or near a holiday, attendees should call to make sure the meeting is taking place. Niagara Hospice also offers counseling to children and teens to help them learn ways to handle grief. This support is provided individually or in groups if enough children are interested. Contact Niagara Hospice for a schedule. For more information about these groups or to register, call the Niagara Hospice Circle of Hope at 439-4417. All members of the community are welcome. |
