Supervisor's actions not prudent

I am writing about the petulant behavior of our town supervisor, Satish Mohan. He is ruining our town with his total inability to work with town employees and their supervisory personnel, as evidenced by his actions with the highway, planning, police and assessors departments.

His actions with the latter department have cost town residents too many dollars with respect to the STAR refund and our tax bills.

Elected officials, including the supervisor, have a responsibility to run an efficient and economical government. Refusing to fund 100 percent assessment as a ploy to lower town expenses is neither prudent nor responsible.

Mohan appears to want to be surrounded by a group of yes men who pander to his every need. This is coupled with a Town Board that prefers to bicker with each other rather than come to a reasonable conclusion after a healthy, give-and-take, civil discussion.

Let us hope that after the next election we can at least gain some semblance of reason. However, after a look at some of the primary winners, I have my doubts.
