Auditions

• The Amherst Players will hold open auditions for its production of "Butterfingers Angel," directed by Debra Cole, from 6-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15 at 701 Seneca St., Buffalo. Sought are seven cast members, ages 12-24 any type, ability to sing some Christmas carols and hymns a plus. Also seeking one male, age 35-50 (looking for a cross between Richard Schiff (Toby Ziegler/"West Wing") and Mandy Patinkin ( Jason Gideon/ "Criminal Minds"); two males, ages 20-30 over 6 feet tall. Double casting for most roles. Show dates are Nov. 29, 30, Dec. 1, 6-8 at the Harlem Road Community Center.

• Subversive Theatre will hold auditions for the upcoming production of Clifford Odets' "Waiting For Lefty," from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the New Phoenix Theatre, 95 N. Johnson Park.
