Psychic fair first in WNY
by JESSICA L. FINCH Associate Editor

The interest in psychic powers and paranormal activity continues to increase with TV programs and media attention on the topic.

Someone who knows a lot about that is Karyn Reece of Clarence, who said she has been a psychic median her entire life.

President and founder of the National Psychic Guild, Reece is bringing the paranormal world to Amherst.

A Psychic and Paranormal Expo Extravaganza has been planned from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 and from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center, 2402 N. Forest Road, near John James Audubon Parkway.

Attendees must be at least 18 years old. Admission is $5, and $10 for each ghost tour and seminar. Personal readings vary from $35-$60.

"It's about timing and people being open and willing to receive," Reece said about the first Buffalo expo. "It's a hot trend right now."

Reece has appeared on Lifetime TV, the Discovery Channel and TLC.

She will host a live audience reading, choosing people from the crowd and providing information.

The expo will bring in psychics and others in the field from around the country, including Dwayne Claude, who has appeared on the Maury Show.

"This is for those who are serious," Reece said.
