Tight games, blowouts highlight second week
Buffalo In-line Hockey Group

Week two of Buffalo In-Line Hockey Group's fall season provided a little bit of everything. There were tight games and blowouts.

Major Division

Vikings 7, Lightning 4

Co-player of the Week David Campuzano led the Vikings with controlled play that dictated the tempo and pace of the game, much to the dismay of the opponent. Calvin Waley (Cheektowaga) scored a hat trick for the Lightning.

Blues 8, Tornadoes 5

The other Major Division Co-player of the Week, Pat Smith (Amherst), led his team in a different way. Smith found the back of the net seven times for the Blues.

Blackhawks 8, Snipers 3

The Blackhawks earned their first win of the season behind Tonawanda's Adam Rainey and Justin Swan. Jesse Van Dyne (Kenmore) played strong in net for the Blackhawks.

Killer Pandas 10, Warriors 5

It was a one-goal game midway through the third period until Evan Dressel (Amherst) scored to lead a five-goal third-period outburst for the Pandas. Dressel and Zac Carslisle (Tonawanda) each had a Panda hat trick. Nick Shearer (Kenmore) had three goals for the Warriors.

Junior Division

Blues 7, Storm 4

Casey Brock played an outstanding game in goal for the Blues, coming up with big save after big save to earn Junior Division Player of the Week honors. Nick Antoniadas (Amherst) had a hat trick and two assists for the Blues.

Knights 16, Capitals 4

Kevin Eberth (Cheektowaga) was the ringleader in the offensive output for the Knights. The Capitals had no answer for Eberth.

Cougars 7, Ghosts 6

The game of the day found these two teams tied with 32 seconds left in regulation when Evan Dressel (an underage player who plays in both divisions) scored the game winner. Vicram Goel (Amherst) netted four times for the Ghosts.

At the end of week two, the Blues and Killer Pandas sit undefeated atop the Major Division while the Blues, Cougars and Knights have yet to lose and lead the Junior Division.
