The Williamsville Jr. Freshman Air Force football team (4-0) continued its unbeaten season by defeating the Lew-Port Rams, 37-12, on Saturday.
Quarterback Ryan Foster and running backs Ryan Conschafter and Nick Maranto led the Air Force offense.
Foster scored on a 30-yard run, Conschafter added 125 rushing yards and two touchdowns and Maranto had 100 rushing yards and two more touchdowns. Foster also tossed three two-point scores to Trevor Conschafter, Kevin Frank and Jimmy Williams. Brandon Barlow added a one-point run.
Defensively, Jack Schwimmer, Michael Woods and Shawn Hines helped contain the Rams.
Air Force 30,
Wilson Blizzard 12
Leading the way for the Air Force were running back Ryan Conschafter and backup quarterback Nick Maranto.
Conschafter scored three times and had over 150 yards rushing while Maranto had over 100 yards rushing to go with two touchdowns. Maranto also tossed several passes to Kevin Frank and Nick LoTempio.
Defensively, Brandon Barlow, Eric Sugrue, Jacob Funderburke, Michael Woods, Shawn Hines and Ryan Fremming helped keep a shutout all game until two late Wilson scores.
Rapids 32, Army 24
The Williamsville Army Junior Freshman ran out of time Sunday against the Cataract Rapids in a hard fought 32-24 loss. Conner Kelly ran for three touchdowns and Tyler Kruse added a 50-yard score.
Defensively, Kelly and Kruse added a pair of sacks each and Matt Terrance had an interception with a nice return. After a tough start to the game, Army fought back hard.
