Pope blesses vow renewal

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hejna

Josephine and Joseph Hejna of Buffalo will renew their vows and have a blessing of the rings at a Mass on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007 at Holy Angels Church in Buffalo. The Rev. James Erving will be the celebrant. The couple also received a papal blessing.

A sit-down dinner reception, given by the couple's children, will follow at Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Depew.

Joseph Hejna married the former Josephine Burruano on Oct. 5, 1957 at Holy Cross Church in Buffalo.

Joseph is a retired manager from Kmart and a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Josephine is an acquisition librarian assistant at the D'Youville College library.

The couple enjoy traveling, cooking, attending concerts and the theater and are active in their church.

They have five children and six grandchildren.
