The Amherst Skating Club will host the regional qualifying meet for the 2008 North Atlantic Figure Skating Championships. Competition will be held from Tuesday through Saturday, Oct. 9-13 at the Amherst Pepsi Center, 1615 Amherst Manor Drive.

The event is expected to draw approximately 300 skaters from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with the top four finishers advancing to the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in St. Paul, Minn.

Admission is $5

per person per

day with all-event passes available for $15.
