Theater
A musical musical Take one simple plot: An innocent waif, her charming and heroic suitor, a menacing landlord and rent that's past due. Then rewrite the story in five different styles, as though it were penned by the most famous Broadway composers and lyricists of all time: Rodgers & Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Kander & Ebb, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jerry Herman. This weekend is your last chance to see the deft and daffy O'Connell & Company production of Eric Rockwell and Joanne Bogart's "The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!)," onstage 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 at The Shea's Smith Theatre, 660 Main St., downtown Buffalo. Tickets are $30 for Thursday and Sunday and $35 for Friday and Saturday performances, and are available at the Shea's box office, 650 Main St., by calling 852-5000 or by visiting www.ticketmas ter. com.
