Kevin Koniarczyk of Amherst has joined O'Keefe Shaw & Co. Inc. as a financial consultant. He will be working with clients to provide financial planning while specializing in growth investing. A graduate of Canisius College, he was a member of both the Accounting Society and the Canisius Entrepreneurial Organization club.
Mark Weir was recently appointed to the Amherst Youth Foundation Board of Directors for a three-year term. The foundation assists the community in serving the needs of youth and is dedicated to raising funds to ensure adequate programs and projects are provided.
Becky Raczkowski of East Amherst has been promoted to director, internal audit for Independent Health. She has been with the company for six years. She will be responsible for securing the integrity of internal finances and developing a comprehensive internal audit program.
Joseph Ruffino of East Amherst has been named chief financial officer at Shuman Plastics Inc. He will be responsible for financial administration and for managing human resources and information technology operations. Ruffino first joined the company as controller in 2004. He is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.
Dr. Rosann Lana of Amherst joined the physician team at Lifetime Health Medical Group. She sees obstetrics/gynecology patients at the Amherst University and Empire Drive health centers. She completed her residency in obstetrics/gynecology at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and the Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo.
Margaret Hartman has been named the New York State Association of REALTORS as the 2007 REALTOR of the Year. She is the 50th recipient of the award. The award recognizes outstanding service to the REALTOR organization, which has a location in Amherst.
