Flu shots available

The Amherst Bee has gathered a list of locations offering flu shots:

Bassett Manor

and Park Manor

Maxim Health Systems is teaming with Bassett Manor and Bassett Park Manor Assisted Living Communities to offer immunization shots for the flu and pneumonia.

Flu shots will be provided by Maxim Health Systems and administered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cost is $30 for flu shots and $40 for pneumonia shots. Any participant with Medicare Part B coverage will receive their shot at no cost.

Clinics will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8 at Bassett Manor, 245 Bassett Road, Williamsville (call 688-4011); and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 and Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Bassett Park Manor, 111 St. Gregory Court, Williamsville. Call 689-2394.

Family Medical

Pharmacy

The Family Medical Pharmacy, located on Plaza Drive at Hopkins and Klein in the Dash's Plaza, will be administering shots through Independent Nursing Care.

Medicare Part B, Community Blue, Independent Health and Univera may be accepted as payment. Insurance cards must be presented.

Flu shots will be administered by appointment only on the following days: Noon-3 p.m. Oct. 4; noon-3 p.m. Oct. 12; 3-6 p.m. Oct. 16; and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 25.

Walk-ins will be welcome at: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 3; 3-6 p.m. Nov. 7; noon-3 p.m. Nov. 16; 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 28; and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 8.

Williamsville United

Methodist Church

VNA of Western New York will be offering flu shots from 12:15-4:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 at Williamsville United Methodist Church, 5681 Main St., at the corner of Oakgrove. Call 634-4800 to make an appointment.

This schedule is dependent on availability and timely arrival of supplies. Bring your insurance card for direct billing to your insurance company or $30 cash.
