Pedestrian hit on Youngs Road, remains at ECMC A 71-year-old man was listed in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle at Maple and Youngs roads. Sidney Fish, 71, of East Amherst was attempting to cross Youngs Road at Maple when he was struck by a vehicle at 6:09 p.m. Saturday. Deborah M. Clowers, 49, of Williamsville was driving a 2008 Ford and was making a left turn from Maple Road to Youngs when the accident occurred. Fish was reported in serious condition on Monday at Erie County Medical Center and was being treated for a head injury, facial lacerations and a leg fracture. Investigator James Quigley was working on the case, and charges may be filed pending the completed investigation, said Captain Patrick McKenna of the Accident Investigation Unit. |
