Couple celebrate 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Derkovitz

Arlene and Norman Derkovitz of Lancaster celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a weekend celebration with family.

Norman Derkovitz married the former Arlene Stroka on Sept. 21, 1957 at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church in Lancaster.

He is a retired skilled tradesman from General Motors, and she is a retired deputy town clerk for the Town of Lancaster.

Norman participates in many outdoor activities, and Arlene enjoys sewing, genealogy and time with family. They also love to travel.

The couple have four children and six grandchildren.
