Couple wed in Rose Garden

Christine Marie Wanamaker married James Joseph Sikorski Jr. in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007 in the Rose Garden at Delaware Park. The Rev. Nancy Milleville officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Barbara Rupiec of Amherst and Robert Wanamaker Jr. of Clarence. The groom is the son of Lynn Carson of Amherst and James Sikorski Sr. of Elma.

The bride was escorted by her father and her stepfather, Chuck Rupiec.

She wore a strapless ivory gown with a champagne-colored bodice and train and an elbow-length ivory veil. She carried a bouquet of solid Fire and Ice roses.

The maid of honor was Laura Wanamaker, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Leigh Sikorski, sister of the groom, and Julie Starbuck, Sue Rzepka, Kara Soebbing, Amanda McCulley, Jennifer Flagg and Rebecca Granke, friends of the bride.

The best man was Joe Sikorski, brother of the groom. The ushers were Blake Carson, brother of the groom; Sam Wanamaker, brother of the bride; and Patrick Daniels, Darrin Drews, David Spencer, Jeremiah Flagg and Mark Granke, friends of the groom.

A reception was held at the Ironworkers Hall in West Seneca. The couple are honeymooning in Hawaii.
