Diane B. Wedekindt and Nicholas P. Delahant

Barbara and Richard Wedekindt of Amherst announce the engagement of their daughter, Diane B. Wedekindt, to Nicholas P. Delahant, son of Terry and Bill Delahant of Lake Placid.

Miss Wedekindt graduated from Amherst Central High School in 1994. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees in occupational therapy from D'Youville College in 2000. She is an occupational therapist in the Saranac Central School District.

Her fiance graduated from Lake Placid High School in 1997. He graduated from North Country Community College in 1999 with an associate degree in criminal justice. He is a New York State trooper with Troop B in Ray Brook and a staff sergeant in the New York Air National Guard. He is also a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars for his service in Iraq.

A July 2008 wedding is planned.
