Women's club to meet, nominate president

The Greater Western (8th) District of the New York State Federation of Women's Clubs will hold its annual meeting at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 at the Ramada Inn, 2402 N. Forest Rd. in Amherst.

Featured speaker will be NYSFWC President Kathy Canzano from Pittsford. She will be accompanied by other officers, who will assist her in presenting details about the projects that are being promoted currently and in the future.

Officers and committee chairmen will give reports and delegates from the membership clubs will vote in an election.

Margaret Brunson, Aurora Women's Club, will be nominated for the 2008-2010 position of president elect, NYSFWC. She is currently 3rd vice president and is in charge of the state newsletter. She is also presiding over the Servers, a support group for the WNYFWC.

A former 5th vice president, she has held many positions with the Aurora group, including president. She is also a past president of Western New York Federation of Women's Clubs.

The Aurora women's Club is acting as hostess for the gathering.
