Sacred Heart students hit the street for a good cause

Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, located on Main Street in Eggertsville, will be conducting its annual Walkathon on Friday, Oct. 5. Students will be walking in the vicinity of the school beginning at 9 a.m.

This year students will not only raise funds for their school, but also for three charities: the Heart and Soul Food Pantry of Niagara Falls; The Shirley DePalma 5K Walk/Run for Ovarian Cancer; and the Pickle Jar Project, which is currently raising money to add a wing to a hospital in Sudan dedicated to the memory of Fr. Gary Bagley and Sr. Karen Klimczak. The girls are raising money through the sponsorship of family and friends.

For information, call Laura Genco at 834-2101 ext. 316.
