Due to a large number of requests, Amherst Youth Basketball is adding third graders to the league to form a third and fourth grade level in the boys and girls divisions.

Participants at this level will use the smaller size basketball (28.5"), and the number of players on the court will be limited to four instead of the usual five players. The division will also have more practice time than the other divisions to give the coaches additional time to teach the fundamentals.

The SS. Peter & Paul Swim team defeated Nativity, 145 to 89, on Sunday.

St. Gregory the Great's swim team beat Nardin in a non-divisional meet. Theresa Munroe landed a new school record in the 200 Freestyle, 2:14.84.
