Friday, Sept. 7
At Amherst High School on Main Street, it was reported that Sweet Home football players were possibly threatening to cause trouble with the Amherst players. The area was checked.
A woman on Fifth Avenue called for help when she couldn't locate a pulse on herself. She was aided and signed off.
Police were called to a car showroom on Campbell Boulevard regarding the larceny of Jaguar hood ornaments.
Saturday, Sept. 8
Police responded to Niagara Falls Boulevard where a woman was reportedly roaming around between Delta Sonic, Arby's and McDonald's for several hours, talking to herself. No problem was found; she was a guest in a hotel on the street.
On Campus Drive, it was reported that boys from Daemen College were running up and down the street ringing doorbells.
On Main Street, a group of kids was reportedly pouring a drain cleaner into a bottle and blowing it up. The kids were also throwing it at the complainant.
A turkey that was causing traffic problems on Hopkins Road was gone when police arrived.
On Sheridan Drive, a motorist reported that another driver was drinking beer out of a glass using
straw.
Sunday, Sept. 9
A fight involving 15 to 20 people was reported on Sheridan Drive. After the crowd dispersed, knives and bottles were found.
A vehicle involved in an accident in Lancaster was traced to an Amherst address. The man driving the vehicle reportedly took off running into a wooded area in Lancaster.
A car parked on Autumn Creek Lane had flour or baking power dumped all over it.
A Danebrock Drive resident reported that a container of sour cream had been thrown at the front of the house.
Monday, Sept. 10
A person was following a car, occupied by four people, on Niagara Falls Boulevard. They reportedly had a stolen TV in the vehicle.
A store in the Boulevard Mall reported that more than $4,000 in merchandise was taken.
On Wehrle Drive, a truck driver complained that youths in
purple car were using rubberbands to shoot paper clips at him, trying to hit his face. He was unable to stay to make a report because he had deliveries to make, but he was concerned for other drivers.
During the night, a green garbage can filled with lawn debris was taken from a house on Brookedge Drive.
Tuesday, Sept. 11
A Bradfield Drive resident complained to police that the doorbell kept ringing. A malfunction was possibly to blame.
Utility pole, tree and transformer fires and sparks were reported on Meadowview Lane, Lawnwood Drive, Springville Avenue, Chaumont Drive, North French Road and Schoelles Road.
An Autumn Creek Lane resident reported losing a passport somewhere between New York City and Amherst.
A motorist reported that a blue pickup truck on Transit Road was driving very slowly, and rubber pieces were flying from the tires.
A youth was reported for opening mailboxes on Dodge Road. The complainant said it was a daily problem.
Wednesday, Sept. 12
On Maple Road, a motorist hit a person on a motorized scooter. The man on the scooter said he was not injured and continued on his way.
A West Klein Road resident complained that a raccoon in the front yard wouldn't let her in the yard. The animal was gone when police arrived.
A man was hit in the head by an elevator door on Wehrle Drive. Williamsville Fire Company responded and reported a minor cut. The man said he would seek treatment later.
Thursday, Sept. 13
A Travers Circle resident called police because the complainant wanted a roommate removed. All were advised.
Police responded to an injury accident on Wehrle Drive. One man would not get out of the car, and Women and Children's Hospital reported that marijuana was found on a 16-year-old girl who had been transported there.
Police were called to East Spring Street where a tour
was being given. A man who was not part of it was giving people on the tour a
hard time and refused a request to leave. He was advised by police to leave the
area.
