Florence W. Rutterman, caregiver

Florence W. Rutterman, 93, of Amherst, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007.

Born in Troy, Ontario, she worked at Erie County Medical Center and was a caregiver at area nursing homes until she was 84 years old.

She was active at St. Leo the Great Church, Amherst where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and was also a supporting member of the North Bailey Fire Hall for more than 55 years.

Her husband, George N., died in 1970. She is survived by her daughter, Jessie Wright.

Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 18 at St. Leo the Great Church. Arrangements were made by the D. Lawrence Ginnane Funeral Home, Kenmore
