Williamsville students named to All-State music ensembles

Nine students from the Williamsville Central School District have been named to All-State music ensembles and will perform at the 2007 New York State School Music Association Conference Nov. 29-Dec. 2 in Rochester. Eight other students were named as alternates.

The students chosen for the All-State music ensembles are:

East High School - Christina Kuvshinoff, Wind Ensemble; Daniel Ziemann, Symphony Orchestra; Alina Jeon, Symphonic Band; Sara Scofidio, Symphonic Band; Griffith Kazmierczak, Instrumental Jazz Ensemble; and alternates Nadine Cohen, Alexas Esposito and Benjamin Wie.

North High School: Allison Lyttle, Symphony Orchestra; Ramkumar Venkateswaran, Symphony Orchestra; and alternates Russell Algera, Dana Gradl, Jiwon Kim and Josh Newman.

South High School: Dan Lamancuso, Symphonic Band; Cecelia Koczka, Symphonic Band; and alternate, Sebastian Galbo.
