Cub Scout registration under way

Registration is taking place for another year for the Boy Scouts.

Several of the Amherst schools have Cub Scout packs that meet at the elementary level. There are several area churches that serve as host sites as well.

Boys can join a pack at anytime, but September is the official kickoff month to the year.

Schools should have distributed fliers announcing the designated sign-up night. For information, call Pauline at 512-6208 or visit www.wnyscouting.org.

Cub Scouts is a year-round program for boys grades one through five. Scouts take part in camping, games, sports, trips, cooking classes and other events.

Parents can also inquire about volunteer opportunities.
