GREAT START - Williamsville North freshman Katelyn Carpenter, sophomore Hannah Rothschild and freshman Sarah Bellinger captain Williamsville North's JV girls soccer team, which is out to a 3-0 start. North opened their season with a home game against long-time rival Clarence. The game came down to the final minutes with the score tied when freshman Sarah Bellinger scored the game winner to give the Lady Spartans a 4-3 victory. From there, North beat Williamsville South, 2-0, at Erie Community College's North Campus. Freshman Amanda Burns recorded her first shutout of the season. This past Saturday, North traveled out of the ECIC to play North Tonawanda of the Niagara Frontier League. North had no problem taking control of this game, winning 4-0. The Spartans played at Orchard Park on Tuesday and are at home on Friday against Frontier and Sweet Home on Saturday.
