Scout recruiting set in September

Recruitment is currently open for the Greater Niagara Frontier Council's Cub Scout program.

A year-round program for boys first-grade through fifth-grade, the program offers activities that promote character development and physical fitness that boys and their parents can experience together.

Activities may range from service projects, family camping, games and sports, going on trips, learning how to cook, using small hand tools to complete a project or learning how to properly care for pets.

Through interaction between parents, leader and friends, boys can learn citizenship, compassion and courage.

Cub Scout packs meet at several Amherst elementary schools and also at a few community churches.

Children can be enrolled at anytime, but September kicks off the year of scouting.
