Man charged with felony DWI

Arrested in Clarence, 25-year-old Ronnie Dial Jr. of Williamsville is facing a second DWI conviction.

Erie County Deputy Sheriff Daniel Brinkerhoff stopped Dial for a traffic violation at 3:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 on Transit Road. After a roadside investigation Dial was found to be intoxicated, according to the officer, and placed under arrest.

According to the Erie County Sheriffs Department, Dial refused a chemical analysis of his breath to determine his blood alcohol content, and was taken to the holding center, where he was held without bail.

His arraignment was pending in the Town of Clarence Court at press time.

The DWI charges are felony level due to a prior DWI conviction in 2002. He is also charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and several traffic violations.
