Jennifer Cleesattel and Jon Schweichler

Diane Gerko and Michael Cleesattel, both of Amherst, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Cleesattel, to Jon Schweichler, son of James Schweichler of Lackawanna and the late Lona Schweichler.

Miss Cleesattel graduated from Sweet Home Senior High School in 1995. She received a degree in veterinary and biological science from Medaille College in 2003. As a veterinary research technician at The Scripps Research Institute in Jupiter, Fla., she is head of technical service and oversees veterinary care.

Her fiance graduated from Orchard Park High School in 1993. He received a degree in physics from Buffalo State College in 2004. He spent six years in the U.S. Navy and serves as a mechanical technician working in undersea developments with Lockheed Martin Corp., Riviera Beach, Fla.
