Couple greet guests at Statler Towers

Jennifer Ann Brown married Shawn Robert Bliss in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007 at St. Philip the Apostle Church, Cheektowaga. The Rev. Joseph Bayne officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Daniel Brown of Amherst and the late Rita Brown. The groom is the son of Michelle and Robert Bliss of Cheektowaga.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Her gown had a strapless sequined bodice, an A-line skirt and a corset-laced back with a sequined train. She wore a finger tip length veil and carried a bouquet of white roses accented with white calla lilies and red roses. The matron of honor was Shannon Bukaty, sister of the groom and friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Karen Brown, sister-in-law of the bride; Leah Racco, friend of the bride and groom; and Christine Surdej and Colleen Mattrey, friends of the bride.

The flower girl was Paige Bukaty, niece of the groom.

The best man was Andy Pagano, friend of the groom. The ushers were Andrew Bukaty, brother-in-law of the groom; Christopher Brown, brother of the bride; and Mike Militello and Douglas Wragge, friends of the groom.

The ring bearers were Patrick Pagano and Chase Bukaty, godsons of the groom.

A reception was held in the terrace room at Statler Towers, Buffalo. The couple are at home in Manassas, Va., after honeymooning in St. Lucia.
