Square dancers to hold open houses

September is National Square Dance Month and to attract new members, the Waterwheel Squares will hold two open houses from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 17 and 24 at Amherst Community Church, 77 Washington Highway, Snyder.

Those interested can learn to square dance with nationally recognized caller and teacher Mike Callahan.

No experience is required. Singles and couples are welcome but no partner is necessary. Dress is casual and refreshments will be served.

"At the present time we have the largest square dance club in Western New York and hope to add to our membership with our free open houses," said Nancy Schafer, president of the Waterwheel Squares.

For more information, call Schafer at 877-4064 or 512-7077 or Harlene Holzschuh at 585-937-9320 or visit the Waterwheels Web site online at www.WaterWheel Squares.com.
