Rochester Institute of Technology will hold it's second annual Digital Arts, Film and Animation Competition for high school students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Students may submit up to two entries. Entry forms, contest rules and other details are available at www.rit.edu/NTID/Artsnr. The submission deadline is Oct. 8.

The sixth annual Marie Nesbitt Promise Prize, bestowed annually upon a first-year UB Law student of African-American descent who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and professional promise, was awarded to Pamela Schaller, a second year law student at the University at Buffalo Law School at the Minority Bar Association of Western New York's 25th Annual Awards and Scholarship Dinner.
