Police charge man with DWI in Troy-Del-Way accident

A report of a serious injury accident on Troy-Del-Way on Aug. 29 has resulted in driving while intoxicated charges for a Clarence man.

Amherst Police Captain Patrick McKenna reported that Timothy Webster was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Corvette at 10:10 p.m. when he went off the road at 45 Troy- Del- Way.

The Corvette struck a motor home parked in a driveway and pushed it into a pickup truck parked next to the motor home.

A passenger in the Corvette, Patrick Broad, 49, of Amherst suffered serious head trauma and sustained internal injuries. He was transported to Erie County Medical Center where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

Webster was charged with driving while intoxicated. Other charges are pending.
