Bride carries grandmother's rosary in bouquet

Julie Konowalski married Jeffrey Schaefer in a late afternoon ceremony on Friday, June 29, 2007 at Christ the King Church, Amherst. The Rev. Joseph Sicari officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Rose and Robert Konowalski of Williamsville. The groom is the son of Melissa and Robert Schaefer of Amherst.
The bride was escorted by her father.
She wore a white strapless A-line Christina Wu gown with matching beading at the top and bottom. Her plain veil with thin satin trim was worn low. She carried white, blush and light pink roses, peonies and hydrangea wrapped in white satin. Her late grandmother's rosary was part of the bouquet.
The maid of honor was Laurie Morosco, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids were Gina Morosco, cousin of the bride; Lisa and Jenny Schaefer, sisters of the groom; and Amy Balcom, friend of the bride.
The best man was Bobby Engel, friend of the groom. The ushers were Mike Schad, Bill Murray, C.J. Hall, Tim Montgomery and Mark Serwicki, friends of the groom.
A reception was held at the Millennium Hotel, Cheektowaga. The couple are at home in Snyder after honeymooning in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
