Couple greet guests at Samuel's Grande Manor

Elizabeth Bubar married Thomas Paul Potempa in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 at Maryvale Drive Presbyterian Church, Cheektowaga. The Rev. Dorothy Pearman officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Carol and David Bubar of East Amherst. The groom is the son of Patricia and Robert Potempa of Cheektowaga.
The bride was escorted by her father.
She wore a white strapless gown with pink flower trim and veil.
The maid of honor was Kristen Frank, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Mia Hencinski and Kerri Bubar, cousins of the bride; Jane and Rachael Potempa and Debbie Kopec, sisters of the groom; and Melissa Zaczek, Jennifer Wheeler and Leslie Lagana, friends of the bride.
The flower girls were Hannah and Olivia DiMarco and Evelyn Staubitz, cousins of the bride.
The best man was Michael Potempa, brother of the groom. The ushers were John Potempa, brother of the groom; David Bubar, brother of the bride; Michael Bogdan, cousin of the bride; Scott Kopec, brother-in-law of the groom; and Paul Evaniak, Todd Lagana, John Carosa and Jeff Conrad, friends of the groom.
The ring bearer was Jake Bogdan, cousin of the bride. A reception was held as Samuel's Grande Manor. The couple will reside in Lockport.
