Fall, spring rec. programs announced, registration open

Mail-in registration is currently open for the Town
of Amherst Recreation Department Fall
2007-Spring 2008 season.
Programs are as follows:
Pre-K Program, ages 3-4, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays
and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays
at the Clearfield Community Center.
Toddler Tune-Up, ages 2-5 from 1-1:45 p.m.
Mondays or 6-6:45 p.m. Thursdays at the Clearfield
Community Center.
Toddler Open Gym, for ages 2-5, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Fridays at the Clearfield Community Center.
Badminton Program, beginner to advanced
play, 7-10 p.m. Tuesdays, 7:30-10 p.m. Fridays and
9 a.m.-noon Sundays at the Harlem Road Community
Center (one court available for play).
Individuals with Disabilities, Kids Program,
site, time and day to be announced.
Individuals with Disabilities, Adult Program,
6:30-9 p.m. Tuesdays at the Clearfield Community
Center (Session 1) and the Amherst Pepsi Center
(Session 2).
Individuals with Disabilities, Adult Swim
Program, site, day and time to be announced.
Water Exercise and Lap Swim, site time and
day to be announced.
After School Gym Program, Clearfield Afternoon
Athletes, grades 2-5, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesdays
at the Clearfield Community Center.
After School Gym Program, Harlem Afternoon
Athletes, grades K-1, 3:15-4:15 p.m. and 2-5,
4:30-5:30 p.m., Thursdays, at the Harlem Road
Youth Center.
Fun and Games, 6:30-8 p.m. Thursdays at the
Clearfield Community Center.
Youth Floor Hockey, ages 9-12, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Mondays at the Clearfield Community Center.
Adult Floor Hockey, ages 18 and older, 7-9 p.m.
Thursdays at the Clearfield Community Center.
Special Olympics, Basketball and Track and
Field training, 6:15-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the
Clearfield Community Center.
Adult Dodgeball, 7-9 p.m. Thursdays at the
Clearfield Community Center.
Harlem Road Open Gym, 3:30-5:30 p.m. Mondays
at the Harlem Road Youth Center.
Kids' Flag Football, 7:45-9 p.m. Wednesdays at
the Clearfield Community Center.
Men's Basketball, ages 18 and older, 6-8:30 p.m.

Tuesdays at the Clearfield Community Center.
Women's Basketball, 7:30-9 p.m. Wednesdays at
the Clearfield Community Center.
Beginning Basketball, ages 6-9, 4-4:50 p.m.
Wednesdays at the Clearfield Community
Center.
Open Hoops, 4 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Fridays
and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Clearfield
Community Center.
Beginning Tennis, ages 8-12 5-5:50 Wednesdays
at the Clearfield Community Center.
Advanced Tennis, ages 12-17, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Thursdays at the Clearfield Community Center.
Adult Tennis Lessons, ages 18 and older,
6:30-7:30 p.m. beginners and 7:45 to 8:45 p.m.
intermediate/advanced, Tuesdays at the Ellicott
Creek Trailway Courts and Clearfield Community
Center.
Tennis for Tots, ages 5-7, 4-4:50 p.m. Wednesdays
at the Clearfield Community Center.
Adult Co-Ed Volleyball, ages 18 and older, 7-9
p.m. Wednesdays at the Clearfield Community
Center.
Most programs have multiple sessions and start
in early September so mail-in registration is recommended.

Brochures with registration forms can be picked
up at the Amherst Pepsi Center, 615 Amherst Manor
Drive, Williamsville, the Clearfield Community Center,
730 Hopkins Road, Williamsville, Amherst Town
Hall, 5583 Main St Williamsville, and all Amherst
public libraries.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
A resident ID card must be provided on all forms
or they will not be accepted
There is a $10 registration fee for tennis, swimming,
badminton, after school gym, youth and adult
floor hockey, women's basketball, fun and games,
toddler tune-up, toddler open gym and Dodgeball.
There is a $30 registration fee for the pre-k program,
a $10 per day or $25 for three days fee for open
hoops, a $15 for men's basketball, a $25 fee for adult
coed volleyball, a $15 for the Tuesday individuals
with disabilities program (all other programs are
$10).
Registration fees are non-refundable.
