• OPEN REHEARSALS - The Western New York Chorale, which specializes in Early Music, has openings for singers in all voice parts for the 2007-08 season. • P ERFORMANCE - Tickets go on sale Monday, Sept. 10 for Irish musical group Anúna, Oct. 23, Shea's Performing Arts Center, Buffalo. Tickets are $15, $25 and $35 and are available through Ticketmaster at 852-5000, www.ticketmaster.com or through the Shea's ticket office at 650 Main St.

• CHANGE IN HOURS - Old Fort Niagara's fall hours will be: September: 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (6:30 p.m. weekends); October: 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. daily; November: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily (closed Thanksgiving Day); December: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (closed Christmas Day). Last admission each day is a half-hour before closing time.

• CHANGE IN HOURS - The Buffalo Museum of Science will be closed to the public Monday, Sept. 3 through Tuesday, Sept. 18 to complete installation of the new fall exhibit "Viva Las Americas!, which opens at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19. Beginning Sept. 19, fall hours will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. The museum will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays except for reserved school and other pre-booked group visits. • MUSIC CLASSES - Students can now enroll for instrumental, vocal and class instruction at any Community Music School location. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. For more information, call 884-4887 or visit www.communitymusicbuffalo.org.

• EXH IBIT - An exhibit focusing on the industrial history of North Tonawanda, and the North Tonawanda History Museum's plans to acquire the property at 54 Webster Street and convert it into the Lumber City History Center and Twin Cities Welcome Center is on display in the lobby of the North Tonawanda Public Library at 505 Meadow Drive through Nov. 28. The exhibit includes photos and copies of advertising by businesses who were producers of products used around the world from the 3-year-old museum's collection.

• FILM COMPETITION WINNER - The 48 Hour Film Project has announced the winners of the 2007 Buffalo competition. The award for "Best Film" went to "X-Day," produced by the team Point Blank Films. "X-Day" will now advance to the international level of the competition to compete against the winners from other cities across the United States and Canada. Key members of the Point Blank Films team include, Producer Dave Lesinski of Buffalo from Full Circle Studios (www.fullcirclestudios.com), director Candice Lee Sterlace of West Seneca from BPC Productions (www.bpcproductions.com), cinematographer Jerry MacKay from LittleFlick Pictures (www.littleflickpictures.com), and lead actor Don Gervasi from the comedy troupe The Eclectic Company (www.eclecticimprov.com).
