The laugh-out-loud comedy musical "Altar Boyz" is coming to MusicalFare Theatre Sept. 12-Oct. 14.

MusicalFare Theatre is presenting the regional premiere of the newest Christian boy band when "Altar Boyz" rocks the house Wednesday, Sept. 12, through Sunday, Oct. 14.

MusicalFare's first production of the 2007-2008 theater season is a musical, a concert and a laugh-out-loud comedy. "Altar Boyz" have come to save a few souls with 90 minutes of witty music, hot dancing and overall hilarity. Now entering its third year Off-Broadway, "Altar Boyz" has been lauded by such diverse publications as The New York Times, Variety and The Jewish Journal.

The production features Brendan Cataldo, Louis Colaiacovo, Paschal Frisina III, Angel Rosario and Marc Sacco, and is directed by Lisa Ludwig, choreographed by Michael J. Walline and music direction by Jason Bravo.

Book is by Kevin Del Aguila, music and lyrics are by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker and was conceived by Marc Kessler and Ken Davenport.

Performances are at 7 p.m. Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays, 4 and 8 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays at MusicalFare Theatre at Daemen College, 4380 Main St., Amherst. Meet-the-cast talkbacks take place after all Wednesday performances, except opening night. The Curtain Up! performance on Friday, Sept. 14 is at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $30 for Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday matinee and Sunday; and $34 for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday performances, and are available by calling 839-8540 or online at www.musicalfare.com.
