Man angry over closed deli, throws egg

Friday, Aug. 17
• A complaint was made on Maple Road about someone driving a minivan up and down the road, throwing bottles out the windows. Police advised the driver and gave directions to a hotel on Flint Road.
• On Capen Boulevard a car was parked in the middle of the street, making it impossible for others to pass. The car had been parked on the side but popped out of gear and rolled into the street.
• Someone reported hearing a drug deal made over the phone, and the person was now waiting outside a Niagara Falls Boulevard store. The man in question, with a buzz cut, "preppy" looking, with a plaid button-down shirt, was pacing outside the store but was gone when police arrived.
• A Palmdale Drive resident reported that two males were living in a garage next to her apartment, and she was concerned. The garage was not a living space; it was made into a game room.
Saturday, Aug. 18
• People had been shooting off fireworks on the 15th hole of the golf course on Smith Road.
• A White Cedar Drive resident complained that youths were setting off fireworks and one landed on her deck, almost hitting her husband in the face.
• A Hillcrest Drive resident complained that a pit bull tried to enter his yard to kill his dog.
• A raccoon was stuck on a fence on Park Ledge Drive.
• On North French Road a clerk reported that a highly intoxicated man came in to use the bathroom, and the complainant didn't think he should be driving. No problem was found; a sober person was driving.
Sunday, Aug. 19
• A woman on Youngs Road said she had left her purse on the top of her car and when she realized it and went back, the purse had already been picked up.
• On Springville Avenue a resident reported that someone was trying to enter her apartment. Police arrived to find intoxicated suspects who thought they were entering a friend's apartment.
• A news carrier reported that a male was attempting to break into a building on Evans Street. Police located the man, who was locked out of his own apartment.
• A Niagara Falls Boulevard business reported that a male, approximately 16 years old, went into both bathrooms and broke parts of the sinks, causing water to leak.
• The night manager of a Maple Road store complained that someone threw an egg at an employee inside the store. The altercation was caused by an argument over the deli being closed. The man who threw the egg was ejected.
Monday, Aug. 20
• On Sheridan Drive, a female driver in a blue Hyundai was switching lanes and giving other drivers the finger.
• On Berkley Road, an argument erupted between a woman walking her dog and the man who owns the car that the dog peed on. The man said that when he approached her about it she threatened him. Police located the woman, who also reported harassment.
• A woman shopping at a Maple Road store had $50 stolen from her purse.
• A man was reportedly selling meat out of the back of a truck on Maple Road. He was advised.
Tuesday, Aug. 21
• A salon on Main Street reported that a heavyset young man had been looking into cars and possibly trying to break into one.
• Three youths were reportedly throwing rocks at cars on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
• A man in a fishing hat was causing a disturbance on John James Audubon Parkway because he couldn't bring his drink in.
Wednesday, Aug. 22
• On Maple Road, three females were observed drinking from a wine bottle in a car. They then left and went into a store.
• A Charter Oaks Drive resident reported that a neighbor told him that four men had been under his car. He possibly knew who they were.
• A boat parked on Cottonwood Drive had an expletive spray painted on it.
• Another report of meat being sold out of the back of a truck was reported on Crosspointe Drive.
Thursday, Aug. 23
• Someone reported that a 7-year-old was unconscious in a car on Niagara Falls Boulevard. He had not been feeling well during dinner and was lying down taking a nap. His mom signed off on a release.
• Police responded to North French Road where one of two tenants in the apartment was breaking dishes and turned the music up. The second roommate was waiting outside.
• On Northledge Drive, a car drove by and dropped a backpack that had drugs in it in a driveway. The items were tagged for destruction.
