John S. Measer, 68, formerly of Williamsville, a retired operating engineer from Local 17, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, he served in the Army from July 1957 to 1959. He belonged to the Jolly Boys and Leisure Wood.

Mr. Measer is survived by his wife, the former Lois Hondzinski Watkins; a son, Joseph; a daughter, Kathleen Moore; three step-sons, Mark, Scott and Edward Hondzinski; and four grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Aug. 24 from SS. Peter & Paul Church.
